At Grace United Church of Christ, we have events that reach out to the community, help raise funds to keep our Ministry alive, and bond our Members, Guests, and Volunteers together (and of course have way too much laughter and fun on the side :)).
Pancake Breakfast
Grace has a Pancake Breakfast 3-5 times a year. Volunteers and Members get together for multiple weeks to prepare to serve over 110 Customers on the Saturday Morning the event happens. At this event, Customers pay at the door and have all you can eat Pancakes, Eggs, Cream Chipped Beef, Sausage Gravy, Hashbrowns, Fruit Salads, Parfaits, with a side of either Bacon or Sausage. The Breakfast goes from 7 AM-11 AM, and there typically is a theme with an area staged with props and a backdrop for pictures. This is one you don't want to miss out on!
Chicken Dinner Sale
On an average of 2 times a year, Grace holds a Chicken Dinner Drive-Through. The meal contains Chicken Breasts from Big John Nolt's, Cheesy Shredded Potato Salad, Baked Beans, and a Goodie Bag with Water, Bread, Applesauce, and Dessert. Members and Volunteers receive items in bulk, and divide them down into meals to feed our great Community! Tickets are pre-sold with extras available. On that day, Customers pull through the Parking Lot, hand their tickets to the Collection Stand. After, you turn off the Parking Lot to the Church where the meal gets delivered to your vehicle, or given to you if you walk up. A great way to get a handy meal quickly!
Church Bazaar
You can't forget about our Church's Bazaar! Every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Grace offers a plethora of items for sale. To begin, we have our famous Cookie Station, where you can individually pick what cookies you wish to buy by the pound, or pick a pre-selected plate already priced. Grace also has a Mini Eating Area where you can buy Soups, Chili, Hot Dogs and Sauerkraut, and take a break to eat. Then, we have our Candy Station, made throughout the previous weeks by Members and Volunteers of our Church. Then, in the center of the Fellowship Hall, we have Arts, Crafts, and Decorations for sale, all donated or made by Members or Volunteers of the Church. You get an Index Card when you walk in, Volunteers write down on that card as you make your way around what you wish to purchase, then you pay right before you leave. A lot of fun to go around!
Spaghetti Dinner
Just added in 2025! Our Spaghetti Dinner includes Pasta and Sauce, choice of either Chicken Parmesan or Meatballs, and a Build-Your-Own Salad Bar with a Wide Variety of options! Importantly, you can't forget about signature Garlic Bread! This is a growing and popular event! Looking to do more in the future, all you have to do is show up at the door, no tickets required! Similar to the Pancake Breakfast, the process is grabbing a tray and plate, and walking down a serving line as our Members assist along the way.
